It’s really unfair.
u can got a regular blue-ray movie for about 20-30 USD in U.S. while 10-20 USD for a DVD version of same movie. It means BD’s price is no more than 2 times of DVD’s. but do u know how about in China?
That’s the truth: for an average Chinese movie, the DVD version costs about 15-20 Yuan ( 2.2-2.9 USD). for an average Hollywood’s movie, abut 30-50 Yuan ( 4.4- 7.3 USD) while the BD version is about 180-250Yuan ( 26.4-36.7 USD), means the price gap is about 5-6 times!
Is it reasonable? Is it rational? that’s why I seldom see people buy BD movie or BD player. there are so many people desire to enjoy HD movie, but they can’t afford it!
Why it’s like that? It’s somthing wrong with those chief’s mind? It confused me for long time.

For PS3 gaming and Blue-Ray should I get a 37" 1080p or a 42" 720p TV?
I was looking at the store and couldnt decide, I can’t afford to buy a 42" 1080p tv but I like the big size of the 42". This will strictly be for PS3 gaming and blue rays movies, so which one is more PRACTICAL. Im looking to spend around 1000$ Canadian

i wanna get a HD flat screen. problem is im new to them and all i know is i wanna watch blue ray movies with it. i wanna get a 32 inch but im not in the best predicament to buy a close to 400 dollar TV. but i want one thats gonna give me an average performance on realistic BR veiwing. at best buy theres a dynex for 299, is the quality on this one that much different from others if i upgrade from a tube tv? and if the dynex isnt a good choice for its price what other brand is decent performance for a low price on 32 inch if my main priority is Blue Ray?

Iam thinking about getting a PS3 the 399$ to watch blue ray movies and regular dvd movies. I really don’t play much video games but every once and a while i do plus i like resident evil and its coming up next year for PS3 i guess.
DO YOU THINK ITS A GOOD IDEA?
And do i need to buy the air fan if i want to watch just a movie or just play for an hour or so ? And do i need to buy anything else?
Thank you for answering .Please do so ASAP!!!

I’ve been trying to decide what to do about getting a blue ray or HD-DVD player. I have a PS3, but with the fan on it, it runs a little loud. I want to get a stand alone player. The Sony Blue Ray S500 model looks good. I don’t have wireless connectivity, I do most of my updating via USB — I found out that the Samsung will not be wireless and it does not have a USB port to update the firmware like the LG BH200. Should I buy the Sony, the combo unit?

Did anyone else get the 10 free Blue-ray DVD’s with their PS3 Motorstorm Limited Edition game system this Saturday, the 24th of November???? It was a special sale that started at 8 A.M. in the morning, and they only sold 2 per store. Woe!
Now that was a sweet deal: 10 BD’s at .96 ea. for free, lol. That pushed me over the edge and made my choice for me, concerning which gaming system to buy, PS3 or Xbox 360.
I mean, come on, a pretty awesome gaming system, free online multiplayer, a Blue-ray DVD player built in, AND 300 dollars worth of free BD movies that I got to hand pick on the spot in the store, hehe.
All I can say is: WOOT, WOOT, WOOT!!!

Son – In – Law hooked it up for me, using the HDMI cable. But, the video it puts out looks no better than regular television broadcast. I was expecting some thing spectacular, and did not get that. So, is the Blue Ray plug and play, or do I have adjustments I need to do ? And they gave me Blue Ray format movies to go with it, so I know it’s not the CD’s .
The DVD player is made buy Insignia. If that helps . Thanks !
Gotta 60 inch Sony LCD HD television.
KDF- 60XS955

Do you need a high definition TV converter device to watch high definition DVD on a blue ray player?
I’m thinking of buying a playstation 3.
I have a high definition TV, but no converter box.
Thanks
